Actors Mobile ADR: Record ADR in Sync on Your iPhone

Actors Mobile ADR is a free iPhone app developed by TODD-AO. It provides actors with a convenient method to record their Automated Dialogue Replacement (ADR) in sync with the picture. With traditional beeps, wipe, preview, and playback features, actors can easily record their ADR on their iPhone or iPad.

The app allows the editor to send encrypted videos to the actor, who can then record their dialog in sync with the picture, just like they would on a traditional ADR Recording Stage. Actors have the option to record with the built-in microphone or connect the Rode VideoMic Me-L. Headphones are preferred but optional. If recording with the iPhone's built-in speaker, Actors Mobile ADR automatically mutes the guide track on the third ADR beep.

Actors can playback and select preferred takes to email back to the editor. The ADR recordings are saved as high-quality Wavfiles.

Actors Mobile ADR is free for actors to record to the encrypted videos sent by the editor, without the need to purchase a subscription. Production managers or post coordinators can also use the app for free to preview guide tracks or playback ADR recorded takes. However, editors need to purchase an in-app subscription of $49.99 per year to import non-encrypted videos before sending them to the actor.

Please note that the subscription is auto-renewing and will be charged to the iTunes Account after purchase confirmation. Users can manage and cancel their subscription in their iTunes Account Settings at any time.
